The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has been concerned about antibiotic overuse in long term and post acute care (LTPAC) and has mandated such programs since 2017.
IDSteward was created to address the 7 Core Elements of Antimicrobial Stewardship per CDC guidelines. Our mission is to compartmentalize the accountability, tracking and reporting while providing the leadership and expertise to improve antibiotic usage in LTPAC
